Laboratory of Biochemical Methods of Investigation (LBMI) is a part of Central Scientific Research Laboratory (CSRL) in Belarussian State Medical University (BSMU), Minsk, Belarus. LBMI was founded on the basis of Department of Biochemistry and Pathochemistry of Hydrocarbons in 1975.

New technical approaches for integral evaluation of pathological processes in humans and experimental animals have been developed in LBMI. The study of enzymes and antioxidant system became principal when rendering assistance to Postgraduate and Postdoctoral students, making it possible to evaluate integral system parameters of human organism.

Cell and molecular biology comprises substantial part of Cytotechnology Group activity. Projects are performed using wide range of modern methods at up-to-date technical level. LBMI collaborates with several institutions of the Ministry of Health and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. We perform team-work with the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Institute of Physiology, and Belarussian State University. LBMI is always ready to collaborate with any institution both in Belarus and abroad.
